Robert Bryll (robertb) > Widok z Panorama Point na Skyline Trail w Mt. Rainier National Park w kierunku poludniowo-wschodnim (srodek zdjecia). Panorama obejmuje mniej wiecej 300 stopni. Rainier (oczywiscie), Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood i Mount St. Helens. Mt. Zdjecie robione 6 wrzesnia 2004.

View southeast (center of the picture) from Panorama Point on Skyline Trail in Mt. Rainier Natioinal Park. The view covers roughly 300 degrees. Panorama Point is at elevation of 6800 feet and four large volcanoes are visible from there: Mt. Rainier (of course), Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood and Mout St. Helens. Mt. Rainier is visible on the right (large clouded mountain; we are on its southern slope). The huge Paradise parking lot and Paradise Inn are visible in the lower center of the panorama. On the horizon, slightly right from the Paradise Inn, is Mount St. Helens. Snowy mountain on the horizon in the left part of the picture is Mt. Adams. Somewhat to the right of Mt. Adams one can BARELY see a small cone of Mt. Hood, which is not far from Portland, OR (the Timberline Lodge hotel used by Kubrick in "The Shining" is on its slopes). The picture was taken on September 6, 2004.
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Na Skyline Trail w Mt. Rainier National Park, w poblizu punktu widokowego Panorama Point. Panorama robiona w kierunku poludniowo-zachodnim (srodek zdjecia). Widok obejmuje mniej wiecej 180 stopni. Zdjecie robione z wysokosci jakichs 1980 m. Osniezona gora na horyzoncie posrodku zdjecia to Mt. Adams - rowniez wielki wulkan. W prawej czesci panoramy, na dole widac nizsza czesc Skyline Trail z wedrujacymi turystami (punkt widokowy Glacier Vista, z ktorego robilem sporo fotek w galerii Mt.

On the Skyline Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park, near Panorama Point. The photo was taken in the southwest directoin (center of the picture) and it spans roughly 180 degrees. Paradise Inn (with its huge parking lot) is in the lower center of the photo. The panorama was taken from the elevation of approximately 6500 feet. The snowy mountain on the horizon in the center is Mt. Adams - another huge volcano. In the right part of the panorama one can see the lower sections of the Skyline Trail with hikers visible (the Glacier Vista from which I took quite a few photos in the "Mt. Rainier National Park" gallery, is down there, close to the right edge of the picture). Mt. Rainier was behind me when I was taking this panorama. Picture taken on October 2, 2004. Mt. St. Helens, which erupted a day or two earlier, is invisible due to haze (it was visible with a naked eye, but the camera did not catch it , since his center-right section of the picture is overexposed).
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Korytarz w Lakeside Center, ktore jest czescia McCormick Center, gdzie odbywala sie wystawa. McCormick center jest olbrzymie i pomimo, iz na wystawie byly tysiace ludzi, niektore korytarze swiecily pustkami. Ten korytarz kojarzy mi sie z tajemniczymi i niepokojacymi pomieszczeniami pustego portu lotniczego opisanymi na koncu "Kataru" Lema.

A corridor in the Lakeside Center, which is a part of the McCormick center, where the IMTS 2004 took place. McCormick center is huge and despite the thousands of people attending the show, some sections of the buildings still seemed empty. This corridor reminds me about the empty airport at the end of the Stanislaw Lem's novel "Chain of Chance".
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Poczatek szlaku Skyline w Paradise. Generalnie jest to miejsce o charakterze wybitnie alpejskim, tzn. super fajne.

Near the beginning of the Skyline Trail in Paradise. Paradise is at altitude of about 5400 feet and in the summer is covered with thousands ow wild flowers, which prompted the name of the place. In September it was already after the season, but the colors of the sky, grass and trees contrasted beautifully. The entie place has an alpine feel to it, i.e. it is super cool.
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Widok na Mt. Rainier z drogi dojazdowej do Paradise. W Paradise znajduje sie wielki parking (w weekendy trudno znalezc miejsce), gdzie turysci zostawiaja samochody, jak rowniez hotel (Paradise Inn) i centrum informacyjne (Jackson Visitor Center).

View of Mt. Rainier from the road to Paradise. In Paradise there is a huge parking lot (difficult to find a spot on weekends) where tourists leave their cars, as well as a hotel (Paradise Inn) and a visitor center.

Snow on the slope near the highest point of the trail, during our descent. The days were getting short and the sun was already quite ow. Luckily the weather held beautifully until the end of the day.
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Jeszcze jeden fotograf gaszacy pragnienie w najwyzszym punkcie Skyline Trail. W tle lodowiec Nisqually na zboczu wulkanu.

Another photographer quenching his thirst at the highest point of the Skyline Trail. Nisqually Glacier on the slope of Mt. Rainier is visible in the backround.
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Poprzednie zdjecie nieco przerobione, by wydobyc mocne kolory.

The previous photpgraph reworked slightly to bring out strong colors. I like this one as well, because it gains an abstract or perhaps just more painterly quality.
Robert Bryll (robertb) > Widok na poludniowy-zachod z Glacier Vista. Lubie to zdjecie - ladna perpektywa powietrzna.

View to the southeast from Glacier Vista. I like this picture - a nice aerial perspective.
