Snapshots from the 2006 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, which takes place each April (it lasts all month) in the town of Mount Vernon, about an hour's drive from Seattle. Most pictures were taken at a place called Roozengaarde, which is probably the most popular display garden in the area. A few pictures were taken in the tulip fields surrounding Roozengaarde. The place was beautiful, the incredible crowds of visitors were the only annoyance (but that's what happens when one goes there during the weekend, as we did).
